Annabelle & Adeline Fette from Tucson, Arizona

Annabelle Fette (17) and Adeline Fette (15) are two sisters (and best friends!) from Arizona. Although they share everything from this scholarship to a room, their interests could not be more different!

Annabelle began taking acting and theatre arts classes two years ago with Christian Youth Theatre, was quickly consumed by love of the stage, and has been taking classes and performing whenever she could ever since. After many showcases, she recently made her official onstage debut. Around the same time, Adeline joined Scouts BSA as one of only a few girls in the troop and was thrust almost immediately into a leadership position. She took her role in stride, working through the ranks as the current Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and a First Class Scout, hoping to make her way to Eagle. Both girls are also straight-A students, members of their school swim and cheer teams, and Student Ambassadors. Adeline is also a jack-of-all-trades (master of all, too!) on the Varsity Softball team, and Annabelle is a member of the Tennis team, the Natonal Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and is a new member of Scouts BSA.  When the dynamic duo isn’t running back and forth to all of their activities, they can be found hiking with their families, writing stories, baking/setting fires in the kitchen, putting out the fires they set in the kitchen (with expert scouting techniques), or creating backyard plays with their siblings and cousins.

Annabelle plans to use this scholarship to take more theatre classes in voice and ballet and start an arts club at her school to ensure that the magical world of theatre is accessible to all, not just the lucky few who can take classes or devote their money hours to out-of-school productions. Adeline plans to put the scholarship towards attending Philmont, a scout high-adventure backpacking trek, with her troop in 2025. Given that this scholarship of $2,222.22 is all in 2’s, it makes sense that it should be won in twos as well. The peripatetic partners will both be participating in Luc’s Run, and are eternally grateful to the Luc Gruenther Legacy Foundation for enabling them to pursue their passions!
