FAQs

Can I bring/run with my pet?

For the safety of our participants please leave your pets at home. Thank you!

Is there a time limit for any of the races?

Our courses will remain open until everyone finishes. Runners and walkers are welcome at our event!

How difficult are the courses?

The 1K Kids Run is flat. However, our 2-mile and 10K courses have rolling hills. There are some moderate hills throughout that may challenge you. Luc always enjoyed a fun challenge and we designed our courses with that in mind. An elevation guide is provided in each of the course description pages. The 2-mile course is entirely on pavement. The 10K course is 95% pavement and 5% hard-packed gravel surface.

Are the courses the same as last year?

Yes

Will there be Aid Stations this year?

Yes! The 2-mile course will have one aid station located at Mile 1.05. The 10K course will have three aid stations located at Mile 1.05, Mile 1.7, and Mile 4.55. Our aid stations will serve water, Gatorade, bananas, potato chips, pretzels, and M&Ms. We provide the nutritional intake to get to the finish line…you provide the determination!

Can I register for both runs (2-mile and 10K)?

Unfortunately no, both the 2-mile and 10K races will be held at the same time to streamline logistics.

What will I receive at the local race in Tuolumne?

All participants will receive a race shirt, a runner’s goody bag, aid stations, an official finisher’s medal, outstanding volunteer support, and a warm heart knowing that all proceeds will go to scholarships offered by the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation.

What will virtual runners receive?

All virtual runners will receive a race shirt and official finisher’s medal in the mail. If you are running or walking with other participants at your virtual location, we will group together the shirts and medals in one mailing to reduce cost and environmental impact.

What are the race shirts like and what is the sizing?

Our Gildan Softstyle Ring Spun shirts are 65% polyester and 35% cotton for a comfortable fit. We offer Adult sizes Small thru XX-Large and they run true to size for a typical Men’s shirt. I’m sorry, but we are unable to offer women’s specific sizing at this time. Our Youth sizes are offered in Youth XS thru Youth XL. The Youth X-Small is size 2-4, the Youth Small is 6-8, the Youth Medium is 10-12, Youth Large is equivalent to an Adult x-Small, and the Youth X-Large is equivalent to an Adult Small. We guarantee your requested shirt size if you register by May 3rd. For those that register on May 4th or after, we will do our best to accommodate your requested size, but we cannot make any guarantees.
