About the event

Luc’s Run is held annually in the spring at Tuolumne Memorial Park in historic Tuolumne, CA. All proceeds go to the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation, a California 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization. The purpose of the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation is to inspire others to Live Like Luc and bestow scholarships to Americans for the advancement of educational goals and self development, thereby strengthening and benefiting the community at large through individual enhancement. Luc’s Run is the foundation’s primary annual fundraiser.

Course

The onsite race is held at Tuolumne Memorial Park in beautiful Tuolumne, CA. There is a 1K Kid’s Race for those 12 and under, a 2-mile course, and a 10K course. For those wanting to honor Luc and support the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation, we are also offering a Virtual Run option where you can run either 2 miles or a 10K at a location of your choosing. All virtual runners will receive a 2016 Race Shirt and an official Finisher’s Medal!

The 2-mile and 10K course wind through the streets of Tuolumne, a historic logging town that was an important part of California’s modern development.
Both courses can be described as “rolling” with some moderate, but short hills. Each are guaranteed to challenge you! The 2-mile course is paved and the 10K course is a combination of pavement and dirt roads.
